Now, as Ian Anson steps into the role of Global CEO of Rokstone and James Potter transitions into the role of Chairman of Rokstone, the business is about to start a new chapter of leadership that builds on the Rokstone legacy of success while embracing the future.
Their leadership has transformed Rokstone into the $1.1bn MGA it is today, with a market-beating ULR of 50% and a reputation as a first-choice, tier-one solution provider in specialty risks. Now, with new roles but the same ultimate vision, Ian and James are set to take Rokstone even further.
Embracing the Future
Ian joined Rokstone in 2020 and spent three years as Managing Director, working closely with James to drive growth. Under their leadership, Rokstone expanded into new product lines, secured multi-year cross-class capacity deals and pushed into new territories with pioneering distribution strategies. Ian has been instrumental in strengthening Rokstone’s market position through investments in top talent and technology.
Reflecting on his new role, Ian said, “It has been a privilege to work with the leadership team at Rokstone. Our platform offers a unique value proposition to our people and partners, and we have significant room for further growth and diversification.”
But growth is not simply about expansion - it includes transformation. Ian is spearheading one of the most ambitious tech programmes in the London Market. He said, “We are simplifying insurance and have already seen a dramatic positive impact on service and efficiency. It is hugely exciting to be at the forefront of change.”
Leading with Vision
As James transitions from CEO to Chairman of Rokstone, his influence on the business remains as strong as ever. In addition to his new role, he continues as Deputy CEO of Aventum Group, maintaining an active role in business operations and strategic growth planning.
James said, “Aventum is by far the most vibrant and inspirational insurance group in the market today.” Being 100% employee-owned and entirely independent, the multiple award wins for the business are not by chance. James continued, “It is the people that have achieved that. I feel privileged to work with such amazingly talented individuals at Rokstone.”
